聖若望鮑思高（司鐸 ）
聖人於公元1815年，在意大利都靈附近出生；童年生活非常清苦；晉鐸後，致力於教育青年工作，並創立修會（鮑思高慈幼會），以教育青年技能，善度信友生活為宗旨。聖人提倡「預防教育法」，以陪伴青少年在理智、宗教、仁愛方面均衡發展。聖人安逝於1888年。

天主！你曾召選聖鮑思高，成為青年的慈父和導師；求你恩賜我們同樣的愛火，以拯救人靈，並一心事奉你。因你的聖子、我們的主耶穌基督，他和你及聖神，是唯一天主，永生永王。亞孟。
Saint John Bosco, Priest
John Bosco’s theory of education could well be used in today’s schools. It was a preventive system, rejecting corporal punishment and placing students in surroundings removed from the likelihood of committing sin. He advocated frequent reception of the sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion. He combined catechetical training and fatherly guidance, seeking to unite the spiritual life with one’s work, study and play. (August 16, 1815 – January 31, 1888)

O God, who raised up the Priest Saint John Bosco as a father and teacher of the young, grant, we pray, that, aflame with the same fire of love, we may seek out souls and serve you alone. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
